February 8th, 2015 - Kyle Beard ventured into new waters over the weekend by traveling to Screven Motor Speedway (Sylvania, Georgia) to compete in the 5th Annual Winter Freeze at the high-banked oval.

Action opened on Thursday night with a $5,000-to-win, unsanctioned event that drew a talented field of 33 cars to the 3/8 mile, red clay track. With the top six cars from time trials locking into the feature, Beard just narrowly missed the cut. He started on the front row for a b-main, and finished third to lock into the finale in the thirteenth starting spot. During the early stages of the feautre he raced around mid-pack before tire issues forced him to retire just past the halfway point to a 21st place finish.

The World of Outlaws (WoO) Late Model Series sanctioned a $10,000-to-win event at the facility on Friday night that saw 32 entries on hand. Heat race action found Kyle falling just short of qualifying for the action, but a fifth to second run in his heat race locked him into the main event. After starting 19th in the feature Beard battled the handle before retiring to a 19th place finish.

The tripleheader drew to a close on Saturday night with another $10,000-to-win, WoO event. Beard battled the handle throughout the night before missing the transfer to the feature in the b-main by a single spot with a fourth place finish as his night came to an early end.

Kyle's first venture to Speedweeks 2015 took him to North Florida Speedway (Lake City, Florida) on Sunday night for a $5,000-to-win, UMP Super Late Model event. The outing didn't start on the best of notes as Beard found his engine expiring in his primary entry in hot laps. As a result, he unloaded his back-up car. Via preliminary action he earned a fifth row starting spot for the 30 lap finale. In the feature he advanced to a fifth place finish behind race winner, Mark Whitener, Frank Heckenast Jr., Morgan Bagley, and Kyle Bronson.
