Seventh-place finish in Pelican 50 at Ark-La-Tex

Kyle Beard made the short trek to I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Ark.) on Wednesday afternoon for the Hammer Hill Twin Bill. With 31 cars on hand, Kyle suffered a flat left-rear tire while batting for the win in his heat. Charging from the tail of his B-Main to place second behind Tommy Surrett, Beard locked into the 16th-starting position for the opening night feature. Running into trouble near the midway point of the feature, Kyle was an early retiree from the 40-lapper on lap 21. (Millie Tanner photo | Turn 3 images)

The following night at Ark-La-Tex Speedway (Vivian, La.) for The Pelican, Beard came in fifth fastest overall in time trials before picking up an 8-lap heat race victory. Starting the $4,000-to-win A-Main in second, Kyle dropped five spots in the 40-lapper to place seventh.
