Topless 100 brings Beard to Batesville Motor Speedway

After Mother Nature condensed the three-day event into a two-day program, Kyle Beard was one of 47 Late Models on hand at Batesville Motor Speedway (Batesville, Ark.) on Friday for the 29th annual Comp Cams Topless 100. With the event co-sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) and Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS), Beard came in sixth in his heat before grabbing the third-and-final transfer position in his B-Main. With his finish on Friday relegating him into a B-Main Saturday, Kyle notched a runner-up finish, which positioned him 20th on the starting grid for the $40,000-to-win Topless 100. He clawed forward one spot in the 100-lap affair to place 19th.
