Beard treks North to join Hell Tour at Tri-City and Fairbury
With their original plans wiped out, Kyle Beard trekked North to Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Ill.) on Friday afternoon to join the DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour for the weekend.
With 41 Late Models on hand, Beard stopped the clock fifth-quickest in his group before grabbing the final transfer spot in his heat race. For the $10,000-to-win main event, Kyle recorded a 13th-place outing.
With the field elevated to 55 Late Models at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.) on Saturday afternoon, Kyle finished one spot out of a transfer in his heat race but gained three spots in his B-Main to earn a feature position. Rolling off from the back in the second $10,000-to-win feature of the weekend, Beard gained three spots to finish 17th.
