Pair of seventh-place finishes with Comp Cams on Labor Day weekend
With a busy Labor Day weekend ahead, Kyle Beard invaded Super Bee Speedway (Chatham, La.) on Friday night for the first night of three with the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series.
Following the fifth-quickest lap in qualifying, Beard was victorious in his heat race which set him up to start on the front-row of the 40-lap main event. Leading the first 10 laps, Kyle was caught up in an accident after a lap car spun in front of him. He rejoined the field but was involved in a pileup on the ensuing restart which ended his night early. He was scored 16th.
Looking for redemption at Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Miss.) on Saturday afternoon, Beard topped the charts in qualifying but fell two spots in his heat race before recording a seventh-place finish in the $6,000-to-win feature.
Wrapping up the holiday weekend at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Miss.) on Sunday evening, Beard transferred to the $5,000-to-win feature after winning his B-Main. Maneuvering through a rough and tumble racetrack, Kyle gained 10 positions to land a seventh-place finish in the shortened 30-lap main event.
