Beard runner-up in Comp Cams Super Dirt Series opener at Boothill Speedway
With Mother Nature axing Friday's $5,000-to-win program, Kyle Beard was one of 31 Comp Cams Super Late Models checked in at Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, La.) on Saturday for the $10,000-to-win Ronny Adams Memorial.
Stopping the clock third-quickest in his qualifying group, Beard earned a third-row feature starting spot after a second-place finish in his heat. For the 40-lap main event, Kyle moved into the Top-3 before inheriting the runner-up position after race-leader Cade Dillard spun with just a few laps remaining. Beard recorded a second-place finish behind Bobby Pierce while BJ Robinson, Spencer Hughes, and Ashton Winger completed the Top-5.
